What's up?

Up /up/ : a preposition referring to a higher place, state, or condition; the direction away from the center of gravity.

What’s up? I’m taking my wife to dinner tonight. Yep, we’re having a date. We will be dining at Souplantation and then going to bed. Are we 65 years old? No, but why should senior citizens have all the fun?

Before we go, let me remind you about my very first contest! This is your chance to have any question answered. Is there some big philosophical question you’ve always wondered about? Or...anything? Give me a shot! You might win some free movie rentals!

Have a great night folks!

I love you btw, and Julie too! Can wait to see you guys in a few months! You will be at the "directors meeting", right??? I need an invoice!

  3. Whatever! Come up with a question you do know the answer to then, and test me. I know you're poor and need free movie rentals!

    Thanks for reading, smartypants.

  4. Here's my serious question. And the parameters for it are this: Assume the Bible is true. Assume it is our go-to source for the answer to this question. So no one else can monkey with why you're answering the way you are. I want to know if I will know you - the DPM I knew here on earth - and be able to recognize you when we get to heaven. I think that's a darn good question... should I send you the address for my prize yet? And how many questions can I enter?

  5. Why is CHOICE COD an unusual phrase? "It has to do with the words, not the subject of the phrase."

On a more serious note, please reconcile the prevailing Christian opinion that gays will not go to heaven with John 3:16 and 17. This is not a "stumper" merely a question.

  6. Kat,

That's a very good question, and one that's difficult to answer. I'll do my best, especially since Wifey wonders about that a lot too. You can ask as many questions as you want, but only one for the contest. I'd much rather answer other people's questions than those I come up with myself, so please fire away.

    rfsnat,

I haven't cheated, though I was (and still am) tempted to try and look up the answer to the CHOICE COD thing on the internet. Let me give you my best guess. It's interesting that you wrote it in all caps, and that lends creedence to my answer. I'm not even really sure how to describe this, but all the letters are vertically semetrical. In other words, if it were written on a piece of clear glass, and you flipped the glass vertically in your hands, it would still read CHOICE COD. Is that right?

As for your other question, it's a really good one, and I can't wait to answer it.

Thanks for the entries--both of you.

  8. Oh! Hi Dad!

At least I did better on this one than on your last question.
